To the “Spiritual Healers” of Koh Phangan: You Aren’t Enlightened, You’re Just Unemployed. Let’s cut the “namaste” nonsense for a minute. We see you walking barefoot in 7-Eleven, wearing your white linen robes and mala beads, looking down on the “matrix” of normal society. You talk loudly about “clearing your ancestral trauma” and “manifesting abundance.” But let’s look at the reality. You aren’t healing the world. You are running away from your credit card debt in Manchester or California. You host “Sacred Cacao Ceremonies” for 2,000 Baht a head, selling melted chocolate to other lost tourists, while underpaying your Thai housekeeper who actually works for a living. That isn’t spirituality. That is just capitalism in a sarong. You talk about “removing toxic energy,” but you are the most toxic person on the island. You ignore your family back home, you contribute nothing to the local economy except Instagram posts, and you treat the locals like background characters in your movie of “Self-Discovery.” Sitting in a circle humming “Om” doesn’t make you a guru. It just makes you a narcissist with a tan. Go call your mom. She’s worried about you. @thailand_thb
