Soviet air force? More like Soviet ground force (permanently grounded)

The USSR didnt have any high-altitude interception airframes. They didnt really have any interceptors at all. They also had quite poor AA. That's aside from the fact that the US was the one providing the USSR with the majority of its aviation fuel -- in a hypothetical fight with the US, the Soviet air force is more or less permanently grounded overnight. There would have been absolutely nothing the USSR could have done to stop a wave of heavy bombers + fighter escorts. They didnt have the planes capable of such missions, they didnt have the fuel anyway, and they didnt have the AA either.
